वैन वैगनर का क्राउन फायर मॉडल (Crown Fire Model)
वैन वैगनर का क्राउन फायर मॉडल उन परिस्थितियों का अनुमान लगाता है जिनके तहत सतही आग सक्रिय क्राउन फायर में परिवर्तित हो जाएगी और क्राउन फायर के प्रसार की दर का अनुमान लगाता है। 1970-1990 के दशक में कॉर्नेलियस वैन वैगनर द्वारा विकसित, यह मॉडल सतही ज्वाला से कैनोपी तक ऊष्मा हस्तांतरण की भौतिकी और ऊर्ध्वाधर ज्वाला प्रसार की दर पर आधारित है। इस मॉडल का उपयोग जंगलों में क्राउन फायर के खतरे का आकलन करने और उच्च कैनोपी ज्वलनशीलता वाले जंगलों में ईंधन प्रबंधन निर्णयों का मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए किया जाता है।
