ניתוח נקודות פונקציה
ניתוח נקודות פונקציה (FPA) מכמת את גודל התוכנה על ידי ספירת פונקציות עסקיות ואינטראקציות משתמשים באופן בלתי תלוי בטכנולוגיה או בשפת תכנות. ה-FPA, שהוצג על ידי אלברכט (1979), מודד פונקציונליות שסופקה, ומאפשר הערכת מאמץ, השוואת ביצועים (benchmarking) והערכת ערך תוכנה. ארגונים משתמשים ב-FPA עבור חוזי פרויקטים, השוואת ספקים וניהול פורטפוליו.
