שיטת גלרקין
שיטת גלרקין היא טכניקה וריאציונית מבוססת-הטלה (projection-based variational technique) לפתרון משוואות דיפרנציאליות, המפחיתה בעיות אינסוף-ממדיות למערכות לינאריות סופיות-ממדיות. השיטה פותחה על ידי בוריס גלרקין בשנת 1915, ובאופן בלתי תלוי על ידי איוואן בובנוף, והיא מהווה את הבסיס לשיטת האלמנטים הסופיים (FEM) ויסוד להנדסה חישובית מודרנית.
