מדד עבודת בונד (Bond Work Index), שהוצג על ידי פרד סי. בונד בשנת 1952, הוא פרמטר אמפירי המאפיין את התנגדות העפרה לטחינה במטחנת מתגלגלת. הוא מוגדר כקילוואט-שעה לטון קצר (kWh/st) של אנרגיה חשמלית הנדרשת להקטנת עפרה גסה מגודל אינסופי תיאורטי עד למעבר של 80% דרך 100 מיקרומטר. מדד בונד הוא בסיסי בתכנון מפעלי עיבוד מינרלים והערכת עלויות ברחבי העולם.
