בדיקת חבילות עמוקה
בדיקת חבילות עמוקה (Deep Packet Inspection - DPI) היא טכניקת ניתוח תעבורת רשת הבוחנת את מטענן המלא של חבילות נתונים, מעבר למידע הכותרת (header), על מנת לזהות, לסווג, ובמידת הצורך, לשלוט בתעבורת הנתונים. טכניקה זו, שפותחה בשנות ה-90 לצורך ניטור וניהול רשתות, מנתחת את תוכן החבילות כדי לזהות פרוטוקולים, יישומים ותבניות, ומאפשרת ניטור אבטחה, ניהול איכות שירות (QoS) וסינון תוכן. DPI נמצאת בשימוש נרחב על ידי ספקי שירותי אינטרנט, ארגונים וגופי אבטחה לצורך ניטור תעבורת רשת ואכיפת מדיניות.
