First published by Ponticas in 2003, it comprises typically 5–7 items measuring global sexual satisfaction on simple Likert or semantic differential scales. Its brevity and conceptual clarity make it useful for rapid assessment in clinical and research settings. | The IIEF is a 15-item, multidimensional self-report instrument developed by Rosen and colleagues in 1997 to assess erectile function and sexual satisfaction in men.
