Latvustuli (Van Wagner)
Van Wagnerin latvustulimalli ennustaa olosuhteet, joissa pintapaloista kehittyy aktiivisia latvustulia, sekä latvustulen leviämisnopeuden. Cornelius Van Wagnerin 1970–1990-luvuilla kehittämä malli perustuu lämmönsiirron fysiikkaan pintaliekeistä latvustoon ja pystysuuntaisen liekin leviämisnopeuteen. Mallia käytetään latvustuliriskin arviointiin ja polttoaineen hallintapäätösten ohjaamiseen metsissä, joissa latvuston syttyvyys on korkea.
