اعتبار محتوایی فرم کوتاه ارزیابی میکند که آیا گویههای حفظشده در یک مقیاس کوتاهشده همچنان به اندازه کافی هر جنبه اساسی از سازه اندازهگیریشده توسط ابزار اصلی با طول کامل را نشان میدهند یا خیر. این اعتبار تضمین میکند که کوتاه کردن یک مقیاس، دامنه مفهومی را که برای پوشش آن طراحی شده بود، تهی نمیکند.
