| خلاصه≠ | Ordinal McDonald's omega is a reliability coefficient designed for Likert-type and other ordinal rating scales. Unlike Cronbach's alpha, it bases its calculation on polychoric correlations among items — capturing the true latent relationships between ordinal responses — and uses factor-analytic loadings to estimate how much of the composite score variance is attributable to a common factor. | Cronbach's alpha is a coefficient of internal consistency that quantifies the degree to which a set of items on a scale measures the same underlying construct. Introduced by Lee J. Cronbach in 1951, it remains the most widely reported reliability index in social-science, health, and educational research. |
