Teise järgu usaldusväärsusmeetod (SORM) on meetodi FORM laiendus, mis parandab rikketõenäosuse hinnanguid, arvestades piirpinnase pinna kõverust projekteerimispunktis. Fiessleri, Neumanni ja Rackwitzi poolt 1979. aastal tutvustatud SORM pakub mittelineaarsete rikispindade jaoks täpsemaid ligikaudseid lahendeid, jäädes samal ajal arvutuslikult tõhusaks. Sellest on saanud standardne täiendus, kui FORM-i täpsusest ei piisa.
