Vigade analüüs elektrisüsteemides

Vigade analüüs määrab voolude ja pingete suuruse ning jaotuse elektrisüsteemide ebanormaalsete tingimuste, näiteks lühiste korral. Fortescue sümmeetriliste komponentide meetodi (1918) abil arvutavad insenerid rikkevoolud kaitsereleede ja seadmete nimiväärtuste projekteerimiseks. See on oluline elektrisüsteemi ohutu ja usaldusväärse töö tagamiseks.
