Seletatav instantssegmenteerimine ühendab süvaõppe instantssegmenteerimise mudelid — mis tuvastavad ja piiritlevad iga üksiku objekti eraldi pikslimaskina — järel- (post-hoc) või eel- (ante-hoc) seletatavuse tehnikatega, nagu GradCAM, SHAP, LIME või tähelepanu visualiseerimine. Nii on iga ennustatud maskiga kaasas tõendid, mis näitavad, millised pildipiirkonnad mudeli otsust ajendasid.
