KokkuvõteRemote sensor data collection is the systematic acquisition of measurements from geographically distributed sensing devices without requiring direct human presence at each location. Sensors continuously or periodically record physical, chemical, or biological variables — temperature, pressure, motion, light, GPS coordinates — and transmit readings wirelessly or via network to a central repository for analysis. Widely used in environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, health informatics, and smart infrastructure.Sensor data collection uses physical or digital instruments to automatically capture quantitative measurements from the environment, human bodies, or machines over time. Common sensors measure temperature, motion, heart rate, location, light, sound, or chemical properties. Because the recording is automated and continuous, the method can produce high-frequency datasets with minimal researcher burden, making it central to IoT, environmental monitoring, wearable research, and behavioral studies.
