| Kokkuvõte≠ | Network-based spatial analysis (NBSA) analyzes the distribution and interaction of spatial phenomena constrained to a network structure — such as roads, railways, or rivers — using network distance rather than straight-line (Euclidean) distance. It is the appropriate framework whenever movement, proximity, or risk is governed by the underlying network topology rather than open space. | Geographically Weighted Regression is a local regression method, introduced by Fotheringham, Brunsdon and Charlton (2002), that allows the regression coefficients to vary across space. Instead of one global equation, it fits a separate set of coefficients at every location, capturing spatial heterogeneity in the relationships. |
