ResumenTelephone-assisted sensor data collection uses participants' mobile phones as sensing platforms to gather continuous or triggered streams of physical and behavioral data — such as movement, location, and ambient sound — without requiring them to attend a lab. A research application installed on the phone captures sensor readings and transmits them to a central server, enabling large-scale, ecologically valid measurement of real-world behavior over days or weeks.Remote sensor data collection is the systematic acquisition of measurements from geographically distributed sensing devices without requiring direct human presence at each location. Sensors continuously or periodically record physical, chemical, or biological variables — temperature, pressure, motion, light, GPS coordinates — and transmit readings wirelessly or via network to a central repository for analysis. Widely used in environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, health informatics, and smart infrastructure.
