ResumenLongitudinal Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (L-IPA) extends the IPA tradition by interviewing the same participants at multiple time points, allowing researchers to trace how the meaning of a lived experience evolves over time. Grounded in phenomenology and hermeneutics, L-IPA preserves idiographic depth at each wave while adding a temporal dimension that cross-sectional IPA cannot provide. It is used widely in health psychology, illness adjustment studies, and any domain where experience unfolds across a significant time span.Grounded Theory (GT) is a systematic qualitative research methodology in which theory emerges directly from data through iterative analysis, rather than being imposed before data collection. Developed by Barney Glaser and Anselm Strauss in 1967, GT prioritizes generating explanatory frameworks grounded in evidence.
