Descriptive statistics

The branch of statistics concerned with summarizing the main features of a data set through numerical measures and graphical displays. Encompasses measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode), dispersion (variance, standard deviation, range), and shape (skewness, kurtosis). Does not involve inference to a broader population.
