Completely randomized design

The simplest experimental design in which experimental units are assigned to treatments completely at random, with no blocking or restriction. It assumes homogeneity of experimental units and is analyzed by one-way ANOVA. While easy to implement and analyze, it is less efficient than blocked designs when unit heterogeneity is present.
