Multiscale Moran's I erweitert die klassische globale Moran's I-Statistik, indem es räumliche Autokorrelation über eine Reihe von Distanzlags oder räumlichen Skalen hinweg berechnet. Das resultierende räumliche Korrelogramm zeigt, auf welchen geografischen Skalen Cluster oder Dispersionen einer Variablen existieren, und bietet damit tiefere Einblicke als eine einzelne zusammenfassende Statistik.
