Letter to the Editor
A letter to the editor is a brief, rapid communication (typically <500 words) published in academic journals, usually in response to a recently published article. Letters enable scholars to raise questions, offer corrections, present supporting or contrary evidence, or highlight implications of published work. Unlike full research articles, letters are faster to publish (weeks to months), making them valuable for timely scientific discourse.
