Højt accelereret levetidstest (HALT)

Højt accelereret levetidstest (HALT) er en metode til hurtigt at identificere designsvagheder og bestemme marginen mellem normale driftsforhold og produktfejl. Ved at anvende ekstreme, men ikke-destruktive stressprofiler (termisk, vibration osv.) accelererer HALT fejluret for at afsløre latente defekter på uger snarere end år. HALT er intensivt udviklet fra 1980'erne og fremefter og forfinet af praktikere inden for elektronik og mekaniske systemer, og er blevet essentiel i accelereret produktudvikling og pålidelighedsvalidering.
