Bayesiansk Cronbachs alpha anvender Bayesiansk inferens til at estimere den klassiske koefficient for intern konsistens, hvilket giver en fuld posterior fordeling over alpha i stedet for et enkelt punktestimat. Dette gør det muligt for forskere at kvantificere usikkerhed med troværdige intervaller og inkorporere forhåndsviden, hvilket gør pålidelighedsvurdering mere informativ – især med små eller skæve stikprøver.
