A* søgealgoritmen

A* søgealgoritmen, udviklet af Peter E. Hart, Nils J. Nilsson og Bertram Raphael i 1968, er en optimal sti-findende algoritme, der kombinerer fordelene ved Dijkstras algoritme med heuristisk vejledning. Den finder effektivt den korteste sti ved at balancere den faktiske afstand fra start med den estimerede afstand til målet.
