Galerkin Metode

Galerkin-metoden er en projektionsbaseret variationsmetode til løsning af differentialligninger ved at reducere uendelig-dimensionelle problemer til endelig-dimensionelle lineære systemer. Udviklet af Boris Galerkin i 1915 og uafhængigt af Ivan Bubnoff, danner den grundlag for Finite Element Method (FEM) og er fundamental for moderne beregningsorienteret ingeniørvidenskab.
