Spike Sorting

Spike sorting er en elektrofysiologisk teknik til identifikation og isolering af aktionspotentialer fra individuelle neuroner ud fra ekstracellulære elektriske optagelser. Som en central del af single-unit neurofysiologi tildeler spike sorting spikes, der er optaget på elektrode-arrays, til deres oprindelsesneuron, hvilket muliggør undersøgelse af individuelle neuroners afskydningsmønstre, timing og netværksinteraktioner med enkeltcelle-opløsning.
