Hybrid statistisk proceskontrol integrerer klassiske reguleringskortmetoder (Shewhart, CUSUM, EWMA) med komplementære teknikker — såsom neurale netværk, fuzzy logic, økonomisk design eller multivariat statistik — til at overvåge og styre produktions- eller serviceprocesser mere effektivt end nogen enkelt tilgang alene. Den hybride arkitektur adresserer kendte svagheder ved konventionel SPC, herunder langsom detektion af små skift, begrænsninger i mønstergenkendelse og manglende evne til at håndtere ikke-normale eller autokorrelaterede data.
