Matchet dosis-responsanalyse — Eksponeringsgradientvurdering i matchede designs

Matchet dosis-responsanalyse evaluerer, hvorvidt stigende eksponeringsniveauer er associeret med proportionelt stigende (eller faldende) risiko for et udfald, inden for et studie hvor cases og kontroller — eller eksponerede og ikke-eksponerede individer — bevidst er blevet matchet på centrale confoundere såsom alder, køn eller studiesteds. Matching kontrollerer residual confounding strukturelt, mens dosis-respons-komponenten tester, hvorvidt eksponerings-udfalds-relationen følger en biologisk plausibel gradient, hvilket styrker kausal inferens.
