Forklarlige Graf Neural Netværk (XAI-GNN) kombinerer standard GNN-arkitekturer med post-hoc eller intrinsiske forklaringsteknikker, der afslører, hvilke knuder, kanter og knudefunktioner der drev en models forudsigelse. Pioneret af GNNExplainer (Ying et al., 2019), adresserer feltet black-box-kritikken af GNN'er og er essentielt, hvor grafbaserede forudsigelser skal stoles på eller auditeres.
