ResuméLongitudinal Thematic Analysis (LTA) extends standard thematic analysis to data collected at multiple time points from the same participants or contexts. Rather than producing a single cross-sectional account, LTA maps how themes emerge, persist, transform, or disappear over time, enabling researchers to understand change, continuity, and process in qualitative terms. It is widely used in health, education, and social science research where lived experience unfolds over months or years.Thematic Analysis (TA) is a qualitative research methodology for identifying, analyzing, and reporting patterns (themes) in qualitative data. Developed systematically by Virginia Braun and Victoria Clarke (2006), TA is flexible and accessible, applicable across diverse theoretical frameworks and data types, making it one of the most widely used qualitative methods in psychology, health research, and social sciences.
