Bayesiansk Placebo-test

Den Bayesianske Placebo-test er en falsifikationsstrategi for kausal inferens, der anvender Bayesiansk inferens på placebo-scenarier — enten falske behandlinger i perioden før intervention, på upåvirkede enheder eller ved fiktive grænseværdier — for at verificere, at observerede behandlingseffekter ikke plausibelt kan opstå tilfældigt eller fra en fejlspecificeret model. Den integrerer forhåndsinformation og giver posteriorfordelinger af placeboeffekter til direkte probabilistisk sammenligning.
