বেয়েশীয় বর্ণনামূলক পরিসংখ্যান, বেইসের উপপাদ্য ব্যবহার করে পর্যবেক্ষণকৃত তথ্য এবং পূর্ব জ্ঞানকে একত্রিত করে ডেটা সংক্ষিপ্ত করে, যার ফলে গড় এবং ভেদাঙ্কের মতো প্যারামিটারগুলির উপর পশ্চাৎবর্তী বিন্যাস (posterior distributions) পাওয়া যায়। বিন্দু প্রাক্কলন (point estimates) এবং p-মানগুলির পরিবর্তে, ফলাফলগুলি পশ্চাৎবর্তী গড়, মধ্যমা এবং বিশ্বাসযোগ্য ব্যবধান (credible intervals) হিসাবে প্রকাশ করা হয় যা সরাসরি সম্ভাবনার ব্যাখ্যা বহন করে।
