একম্যান পরিবহন
একম্যান পরিবহন হলো পৃষ্ঠ সীমানা স্তরে বাতাসের পীড়ন (wind stress) দ্বারা চালিত এবং কোরিয়োলিস বল দ্বারা ভারসাম্যপূর্ণ জলের নেট আয়তন প্রবাহ। ১৯০৫ সালে ভাগন ওয়ালফ্রিড একম্যান বাতাসের পীড়ন যে একটি সর্পিল প্যাটার্নে জলস্তম্ভের মধ্য দিয়ে সঞ্চারিত হয়, এই নীতি থেকে এটি উদ্ভূত করেন। একম্যান পরিবহন উপকূলীয় উত্থান (coastal upwelling) এবং গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সমুদ্রবিজ্ঞানীয় পরিবহনের জন্য দায়ী। এই তত্ত্ব পৃষ্ঠের বাতাসের বিন্যাসকে সরাসরি সমুদ্রের সঞ্চালনের সাথে যুক্ত করে।
