These visuals serve as prompts in extended biographical interviews, releasing richer, more emotionally grounded narratives than verbal questioning alone typically achieves. The method is used in education, health, migration studies, and other fields where lived experience over time is central. | Life history research is a qualitative method that captures the full arc of an individual's life — or a significant portion of it — through extended biographical interviewing and analysis of personal documents.
