ارتباط "النقطة الثنائية" (Point-Biserial Correlation)
يقيس معامل ارتباط النقطة الثنائية (r_pb) قوة واتجاه العلاقة الخطية بين متغير ثنائي طبيعي (مُرمّز 0/1) ومتغير مستمر. إنه حالة خاصة من معامل ارتباط بيرسون لـ "عزم حاصل الضرب" (Pearson product-moment correlation) وقد اشتقه تيت (Tate) رسميًا في عام 1954 في "حوليات الإحصاء الرياضي" (Annals of Mathematical Statistics)، وهو المؤشر القياسي المستخدم في تحليل الفقرات السيكومترية، ودراسات الصلاحية، وأي سياق بحثي ترتبط فيه متغيرات التجميع الثنائية بنتيجة مستمرة.
