مؤشر عمل بوند، الذي قدمه فريد سي. بوند في عام 1952، هو معلمة تجريبية تصف مقاومة الخام للطحن في مطحنة دوارة. يُعرّف بأنه الكيلوواط-ساعة لكل طن قصير (kWh/st) من الطاقة الكهربائية المطلوبة لتقليل خام خشن من حجم لانهائي نظريًا إلى 80% يمر عبر 100 ميكرومتر. يُعد مؤشر بوند أساسيًا في تصميم مصانع معالجة المعادن وتقدير التكاليف على مستوى العالم.
