يجمع التعلم النشط البيزي (BAL) بين نموذج احتمالي واستراتيجية استعلام نشطة لتحديد الأمثلة غير المسماة التي، بمجرد تسميتها، ستقلل من عدم اليقين في النموذج إلى أقصى حد. بدلاً من تسمية البيانات عشوائيًا، يوجه التعلم النشط البيزي المشغل - عادةً ما يكون مُعلِّقًا بشريًا - نحو النقاط التي سيوفر فيها التسمية أكبر قدر من اكتساب المعلومات، مما يجعله فعالًا للغاية من حيث التسمية.
