فحص الحزم العميق (DPI) هو تقنية تحليل لحركة مرور الشبكة تفحص حمولة الحزمة الكاملة بما يتجاوز معلومات الرأس لتحديد وتصنيف والتحكم المحتمل في حركة البيانات. تم تطويره في التسعينيات لمراقبة وإدارة الشبكات، ويقوم فحص الحزم العميق بتحليل محتويات الحزم للكشف عن البروتوكولات والتطبيقات والأنماط، مما يتيح مراقبة الأمان وإدارة جودة الخدمة وتصفية المحتوى. يستخدم مزودو خدمة الإنترنت والمؤسسات ومنظمات الأمن فحص الحزم العميق على نطاق واسع لمراقبة حركة مرور الشبكة وتطبيق السياسات.
