| الملخص≠ | UV-Vis spectrophotometry is an optical analytical technique that measures the absorption of ultraviolet and visible light (wavelengths 190–900 nm) by substances in solution. Founded on the Beer-Lambert law (developed by August Beer and Pierre Bouguer), it is one of the oldest and most widely used quantitative analytical methods. UV-Vis spectrophotometry is economical, rapid, and applicable to a vast range of organic and inorganic compounds, making it indispensable in pharmaceutical, clinical, environmental, and research laboratories. | Coulometry is an electrochemical analytical method that determines the concentration of an analyte by measuring the total electric charge (in coulombs) required to oxidize or reduce the analyte completely at an electrode. Developed by James J. Lingane in the 1940s, coulometry is highly accurate because it is based on fundamental constants (Faraday's law) and does not require external standards or calibration curves. This method is particularly valuable for trace analysis, water determination, and analysis of reactive species. |
