Developed by Adeniji and Brown in 2012, it prioritizes simplicity and cultural accessibility, making it particularly valuable in low-resource settings and populations with limited health literacy. Despite its brevity, the measure demonstrates good sensitivity for detecting non-adherence and has been validated across African and international populations.
