Available in parent and teacher versions, it is widely used in primary care, pediatrics, and developmental clinics for initial ADHD screening and symptom tracking during treatment. The Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), developed by Thomas Achenbach and Leslie Rescorla and updated in 2009, is a parent-completed behavioral rating scale assessing emotional and behavioral problems in children aged 6–18 years.
