ΣύνοψηThe Occupational Self-Assessment (OSA) is a client-centered, reflective tool designed to measure an individual's perception of occupational functioning and identify areas of occupational concern or goals. Developed by Baron, Kielhofner, and colleagues within the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) framework, the OSA integrates competence self-rating with importance rating, revealing the gap between what the client can do and what matters to them. The OSA is used in occupational therapy across mental health, physical rehabilitation, aging, and developmental disability to identify therapy goals and monitor changes in occupational functioning. The Frenchay Activities Index (FAI) is a self-report or informant-rated questionnaire designed to measure participation in activities of daily living and instrumental activities over a 3-month period. Developed by Holbrook and Skilbeck (1983) at the Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, the FAI evaluates participation in 15 activities spanning domestic, leisure, and work domains. The FAI is widely used in stroke rehabilitation and aging research to measure broader functional recovery, social participation, and return to valued activities beyond basic self-care.
