| Σύνοψη≠ | Interpretive hermeneutic phenomenology is a qualitative research approach that investigates the meaning of lived experience through an explicit interpretive lens grounded in the hermeneutic tradition. Originating in Heidegger's hermeneutic ontology and developed as a research methodology by Max van Manen, it holds that human experience is always already interpreted and that understanding emerges through a circular movement between parts and wholes — the hermeneutic circle. The approach foregrounds the researcher's engaged, interpretive presence rather than bracketing it away. | Thematic Analysis (TA) is a qualitative research methodology for identifying, analyzing, and reporting patterns (themes) in qualitative data. Developed systematically by Virginia Braun and Victoria Clarke (2006), TA is flexible and accessible, applicable across diverse theoretical frameworks and data types, making it one of the most widely used qualitative methods in psychology, health research, and social sciences. |
