Post-occupancy evaluation often reveals these issues; they indicate that spatial design has failed and signage is compensating.

Can I fix wayfinding problems with signage alone?

Signage can mitigate poor spatial design but is not a cure. Research shows that users prefer spatially logical environments with minimal signage. If your building requires heavy signage to be navigable, the underlying spatial organization is likely to blame.
